Farah Sayem (1996) is a curator and cultural practitioner based in Tunis.
Her work focuses on the physical and political dimensions of urban, public, and common spaces, exploring their relationship with the social and cultural practices of their inhabitants. She examines the role of these spaces in transforming urban landscapes and investigates notions of self-management, artistic urban commons, and the political significance of these structures as forms of resistance to the social consequences of neoliberalism.
Since April 2020, she has been actively engaged in civil society, developing cultural projects that promote the democratization of artistic practice. Her professional trajectory is centered on curation and project management. She has collaborated with L’Art Rue on the Dream City festival, the Collectif Créatif, Journées Musicales de Carthage, La Boîte : lieu d’architecture et d’art contemporain, Gabes Cinéma Fen, ONU Femmes Tunisie, and El Warcha Collaborative Design Studio Tunis.
Farah holds a Master’s degree in Product Design from École Supérieure des Sciences et Technologies du Design (ESSTED) and a second Master’s degree in Social and Solidarity Management from Institut Supérieur de Gestion de Tunis (ISG). She was also a member of TASAWAR Curatorial Studios 3.
