In September, the 26,000 students enrolled in the 12 higher education institutions under the supervision of the ministerial cluster—and members of the network of higher education institutions for sustainable development (RESDD)—began their academic year.

This new year is shaped by the themes of frugal and sustainable artificial intelligence and marked by the arrival of a new institution within the network: welcome to the École des ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris (EIVP)!

The EIVP, a leading school of urban engineering, trains future sustainable city professionals within Université Gustave Eiffel.

In 2024, together with UN-Habitat, it launched the ISCI-MENA Chair to develop social and urban solutions in response to climate challenges in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

This Chair represents a significant step forward in promoting social innovation, urban sustainability, and inclusion. It demonstrates the commitment of the EIVP and Université Gustave Eiffel to building more resilient, fair, and future-oriented cities.
